chicago enters the 7th day today. it has kept 350,000 students out of the classroom. it's the first teachers strike in chicago in 25 years, the two sides will gather this afternoon, this morning, though, baltimore community activists are gathering to show support for the teachers. sherrie johnson is live with more on why they are supporting the teachers. >> reporter: they definitely want to get out there and show support. they will be here this afternoon about 3:30 p.m., they will have a picket line at the direction of cold spring lane and falls road in north baltimore. we are here in front of western high school, this is where they are going to hit the streets if the picket line and want to support teachers defying big business and mayor. they want to support those making sacrifices for students, teachers, workers and communities everywhere. a judge scheduled a hearing on a possible injunction to end

the chicago teachers strike for wednesday at 10:30 a.m., city attorneys filed a brief. the union is deciding whether to end the walkout if delegates call off the strike, students could be in class by wednesday. labor and education experts have called it a good deal for the union, including pay raises in a bad economy and appeals process for new teacher evaluations. >> it's straight forward. our goal is to do everything we can possibly to get the children back in school. >> it was simple. they need time to go back to their members. they need to think about what this represents. we have gone without pay for five days. that's an important decision that wasn't made lightly. when they come back they want to do it with a clear conscience. >> reporter: once again, a number of activists will be out here at the corner of cold spring lane and falls road.

sherrie johnson, abc2 news. a case of parking rage landed an edgewood woman behind bars. this happened in a parking lot on the avenue in white marsh. linda so is live this morning at baltimore county police headquarters. what is this woman charged with? >> reporter: facing a numb of charges including first and second degree assault. her bail set at $1 million, police say brandy in edgewood got in to a fight with another woman over a parking space friday night. aims got back in to her car, hit the woman, and pinned her against another car. that's not at all, a bystander became her second target. >> when she observed the second person, trying to get a tag number and take pictures, she drove at that victim, striking her as well. >> reporter: the person was able to give police enough

information so that they could arrest aims at her home on monday. linda so, abc2 news. a police report gives us new details behind the arrest of a baltimore paramedic. the 31 year old slapped a drunk woman while she was on the stretcher. the victim was not combative. white began ramming her in to the stretcher, he lifted her by her neck and smashed her body in to the headrest. the president of the firefighters union believes the level of patient care was not as good as it should be but says shawn white shouldn't have been arrested. >> a lot of them get belligerent, arrogant, trying to instruct the person, the paramedic how to do his job. >> white is charged with two counts of second degree assault. the incidents were caught on video and reported by a colleague of white's. a big win for the baltimore
